About the Kikit Project
KIKIT supports the health and social care needs of people from hard to reach and marginalised communities, including Black, Asian, Minority and Ethnic communities (BAME). We work predominantly with the BAME communities but our doors are open to anybody who needs help, whatever their colour or creed.
We provide innovative community-based activities and structured treatment programmes that guide, mentor and support people to address issues including substance misuse, health and social wellbeing and community safety.
We seek to improve health and wellbeing and motivate people to find effective pathways to recovery that enable them to contribute positively to their communities and wider society and lead independent, healthy and productive lives.
KIKIT provides culturally sensitive multi-lingual support services.
How did KIKIT start?
The long journey to KIKIT’s success started 10 years ago. Watch the video to learn more about where it all began.
Our non-judgmental and culturally sensitive approach reflects and respects the diverse needs of people of different faiths, languages and cultures. We work in partnership with local grass-root organisations, faith-based communities and neighbourhood forums to reflect the values and lived experience of local people and harness local knowledge to increase the chances of successful change.
What makes KIKIT unique?
KIKIT provides culturally sensitive support in a range of different languages. Watch the video to learn more about what makes KIKIT different.
KIKIT is a social enterprise with over 25 years experience of working with diverse communities and we are passionate about improving the lives of those who need our support.
