What is Know Your Mind?
Know Your Mind supports children and young people (CYP) in the Bradford central area who are experiencing challenges around mental health and emotional wellbeing. We are here to help you feel equipped and empowered to enjoy life. We are part of the Youth in Mind in City partnership.
Our team of Community Wellbeing Workers use a goals-based approach to help you. They will tailor support to your specific needs and equip you with tools to continue to have good wellbeing once you leave our service.

What Know Your Mind offer:
Wellbeing group sessions which run for six weeks; they vary in size, theme and location and can be a great way to meet other young people experiencing similar things in a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment. They are a chance to share experiences and understand more about mental health together.
We really value peer support and want you to have the opportunity to use our Wellbeing Groups to connect and relate to other young people, create valuable support systems and build friendships that you can take with you beyond Know Your Mind.
One-to-one sessions to explore your goals and discover new ways to look after your mental and emotional health.
We can attend existing groups, such as after-school clubs and activities, to provide you with opportunities to talk about emotional wellbeing, and understand mental health support available, empowering you to have the confidence to contact us for support if you need it.
Our Know Your Mind team want to work collaboratively with other organisations working with young people within the Bradford Central area, and will be providing training opportunities for workforces so that they feel resourced and confident to talk about mental health with young people. We can work with schools, community groups, and youth offending settings.
Who is it for?
Know Your Mind is for young people aged between 8 and 19 (or up to 25 with additional needs such as special educational needs and disabilities) who are in the Bradford central area. This means they are either living, go to school in, or attend a GP surgery in an area with postcodes starting BD1, BD2, BD3, BD5, BD7, BD8 or BD9.
