About North Staffs Mind
North Staffs Mind was founded in 1976 and offers over 40 years’ experience in providing innovative mental health services. We are a Registered Charity and Company Limited by Guarantee, affiliated to Mind.
We deliver a growing range of mental health services that are based around the individual and changing needs of our clients, and work in partnership with a wide range of local organisations to support the wellbeing of people who live and work in the local area.
Our team of staff is highly skilled and dedicated to helping us achieve our organisational mission and values. We also work with a large group of volunteers and placement students. Our Board of Trustees are responsible for ensuring that we meet our charitable aims and objectives.

About Our Supported Housing
We provide supported accommodation for people who experience mental ill health and who require a level of support to enable them to maintain community living and progress towards more independent lifestyles.
How much support and the type of support provided is dependent on your own needs, but the aim of the service is to help you maintain a tenancy, increase your independence and live a healthy and fulfilling life.
We also help with the following:
- Skills needed to maintain a tenancy
- Completing benefit forms
- Day-to-day budgeting
- Emotional support
- Health and wellbeing support
- Developing social networks
- Accessing community facilities such as leisure, education and volunteering
- Increasing confidence and self-esteem
