Hello, we are your local Mind Charity. We provide support and a range of quality services to individuals living with a mental health diagnosis or experiencing emotional distress
1 in 4 people will experience a mental health or emotional health problem this year.
NPT Mind is a mental health charity based in Neath in South Wales. We cover the entire Neath & Port Talbot area, and are part of a network of Local Mind organisations across England & Wales.
We believe that no one should have to face a mental health problem alone. We’re here for you. Today. Now.
We work for the better mental health of people in NPT by providing a range of services. This website aims to provide more information about our organisation, our services and how we work.

Strategic Aims and Goals.
- Prevention: support the people most likely to develop mental health problems to stay well.
- Informed choices: empower people who experience a mental health problem to make informed choices about how they live with/ and recover from a mental health or emotional health problem.
- Services and support: ensure people get the right services and support at the right time to help them recover from/ live with a mental health problem.
- Social participation: open the doors to people with lived experience participating fully in the wider community and society.
- Equality of opportunity: gain equality of treatment for people with mental health problems who experience multiple discrimination.
Monitoring and Evaluation Work
All of our projects and services are continuously monitored and evaluated in a variety of ways, ensuring we offer the best use of available services and that our services are meeting the quality mark and the needs of our client group. We collect feedback through a variety of formats, including a formal six monthly monitoring and evaluation survey; anecdotal feedback from beneficiaries; service user meeting minutes; quality review report from Mind; Box ‘C’ – compliments, considerations, complaints and comments box (located in resource centre); quarterly newsletters; monthly monitoring and evaluation of groups and sessions.
