Supporting individuals
One-to-one support enabling people to look after their mental health
Wellbeing Coaching is an evidence-based approach to building wellbeing and resilience. Across Lancashire, we work with people in their communities and believe in supporting people to live the lives they want, as fully as possible.
Wellbeing Coaches run one-to-one sessions, delivering low intensity interventions to help people build resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and improve their wellbeing and quality of life. Sessions involve guided self-help, utilising interventions such as goal setting, thought challenging, diary planning, relaxation and breathing techniques.
We have several funded projects that provide free coaching to individuals and you can also pay for coaching sessions.
Supporting communities
Increasing awareness of mental health and improving wellbeing
Lancashire Mind work in communities across Lancashire to raise awareness of mental health and the ways in which we can all take steps to look after our own wellbeing. We want everyone to understand that we all have mental health and that we shouldn’t treat people differently because of a mental health condition.
We encourage people to talk about their own mental health and be aware of when family and friends may be experiencing poor mental health. It’s important to talk about how we are feeling and to remember that it is ok to ask for help when we need it.
