South Kent Mind was originally registered as a charity called Folkestone & District Mind in May 1988. Our charity is affiliated with National Mind but is run independently and has its own constitution and board of Trustees.
In November 2019, it was resolved by the members of the charity to change the name to South Kent Mind to reflect the area of operation better.

To improve the lives of people with mental health challenges in South Kent.

To promote the preservation and the safeguarding of mental health and the relief of persons suffering from mental health disorders.
