Mind in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Redbridge are celebrating 30 years of supporting mental health and wellbeing within our community. We deliver high quality mental health and emotional support, talking therapies, advocacy and employment support.
We are inclusive and committed to meeting the diverse needs of our community and campaigning to eradicate stigma, discrimination and inequality.
Our ambition is to become an Anti-Racist Organisation, we will be an advocate for racial justice and mental health. Our support will be engaging and effective for people from racialised communities.
Our Services
Mind in Tower Hamlets and Newham’s Mental Health and Well-being services are here to ensure that people have access to the right support at the right time. Our aim is to improve wellbeing and connect people with their community in order to live a rich and fulfilled life.
We do this in partnership with people who use our services, the local community, volunteers, health services and other organisations to deliver projects that are responsive and meaningful.
We offer a range of services, groups, events and activities for you to:
- Focus on achieving your goals
- Become more active through a range of physical activities
- Connect with others through peer groups and social events
- Opportunities to try a course, get into education or start planning for employment
- Get active and involved in how services are shaped and have your say in what matters the most to you in your community.

Our advocates will help you:
- Express your views
- Secure your rights
- Represent your issues
- Obtain the services you need
Our Advocates can go with you to:
- Ward Rounds
- Care Programme Approach Meetings (CPA)
- Meetings appealing your section
- Medication reviews
- Discharge meetings (Section 117)
- Community based meetings
- Support qualifying clients through the Care Act needs assessment and review process
- Support you through the section 42 safeguarding process
Our advocates can help you by:
- Exploring your options
- Helping you to make informed decisions
- Resolving issues with your care and treatment
- Accessing information (eg Health records)
- Accessing other services
- Helping you to write letters and make phone calls
- Explaining the complaints process and progressing complaints
- Help you to understand your rights under the Mental Health Act
- Supporting you to prepare for a Care Act Assessment
- Supporting you in CPA meetings or tribunals
