Profile
We’re Carlisle Eden Mind, your local mental health charity.
We believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone.
We’re here for you. Today. Now.
We’re on your doorstep, at the end of a phone or online. If you’re stressed, depressed, in crisis or supporting someone else we’ll listen, give you support and fight your corner. We believe everyone deserves respect and support when facing a mental health problem.
The last two years have effected everybody in so many ways. For us our shop was closed for a long period, our fund raising efforts severely curtailed and our training programmes were impacted. Other sources of funding were stopped or put on hold, with money understandably being directed towards support for those in need due to the pandemic.
However now more than ever demand for our services is very high and likely to continue rising as the local community changes and adapts to new circumstances again.
Therefore we are asking for your help. People are looking for support and services that will help them to cope now and into the future. Our mission is to meet that demand and ensure no one has to face a mental health problem alone.
If you can, please support us.

Connect
We help to provide a holistic service to people to help them meet their needs and develop a support plan alongside these other agencies if necessary.
How can Connect support people?
Connect offers mental health support to anyone who has had their wellbeing affected by hardship or poverty. We create a support plan that we work through with individuals to help them during hardship or a poverty crisis.
Our support can include:
- Completing a needs assessment and support plan with someone around their poverty or hardship crisis
- Work with someone to identify what areas need to be addressed
- Help someone to prioritise their needs
- Signpost or refer on to relevant support agencies
- Advocate on someone’s behalf if/when necessary
