About Conwy Mind
We have been supporting better mental health and wellbeing in Conwy County for over 35 years!
About Us
We are an independent, local charity governed by our Board of Trustees. Established in 1985, we have over 35 years experience of supporting better mental health and wellbeing across Conwy County.
We are committed to deliver services that meet the ever-changing needs of our community and involve service users with the design, development, delivery and review of our services.
We are committed to working with our community to challenge stigma and discrimination associated with mental health, the delivery of inclusive services are accessible to everyone who needs them, ensuring no one has to face a mental health issue alone.
We want to be able to help as many as possible because mental health issues affect us all. Whether it’s you, someone in your family, a friend or a colleague, a neighbour or a classmate, the impact can be really hard to manage. Conwy Mind is here to offer support when it’s needed, in your local area.
About Conwy County
Conwy Mind works across Conwy County in North Wales, which has a population of 120,000 people. With 1 in 4 people experiencing a mental health difficulty each year, that’s nearly 30,000 people in our area each year in need of help and support for their mental health and wellbeing.
We aim to offer services in local communities, using community venues such as libraries and Family Centres, where possible, to reduce travel and increase accessibility.
We will also continue to offer our services virtually (over the telephone, by post and online) to help reach as many people as possible.

Our relationship with national Mind
Conwy Mind is affiliated to the Mind network made up of over 130 organisations across England and Wales delivering services, campaigning, and giving a voice to people with mental health issues, their families, carers and community. However, as with the other local Minds across the network, we are a stand-alone, independent charity responsible for our own fundraising and finances, governance and decision-making, development and staff and volunteer team. We do not receive funding from national Mind.
Community Hub
Your mental health matters.
Your mental health matters. We believe that anyone who is experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems should be able to get the help and support they need, when they need it.
If you’re unsure where to find support, need information or want to access one of our services, get in touch with our community hub and speak to a member of our team, who will be able to point you in the right direction.
Our hub workers will talk you through what’s available so you can decide on the best way forward. If our services aren’t right for you, we can work together to find help that is.
